Timed
(Drew this piece over the course of 20 minutes because the imagery of time was glued to my mind) These days the waves of time are beyond my reach. I try to catch up to it, only to fail in despair and sit down in silence. But in silence I catch it, for a small but sure moment, where everything comes into place. Intent is important I tell myself as I pour into everything I do, and yet intent makes me lose track of time. Perhaps that is a good thing, knowing that a job is done with every fibre of one's being. However, what good is intent if I do not have the time to appreciate all there is to being. So I pause, take a breath, catch time, make it still, from a deer wanting to sprint at the next second to a deer that is eager to draw close. There I find intent and time intersect, a place where reality meets life. A place where life and time run freely, like a stream that calmly flows, with clarity and purpose.
