Storytelling as a Narrative

(Totally a panel from the comic series that we're working on to continue last week's lore)

Last week, we discussed storytelling as a timeless craft. This week, I'd like to continue with that narrative. In severe irony, I presented a paper about storytelling today. Although I don't want to get into the nuances of the paper itself, there is an aspect of it that is reflective of what I mentioned in the previous blog, about how it is intrinsic to human nature.

Specifically speaking, this craft is maintained through various mediums, especially with that of oral tradition. Music, myths, speaking in itself is once more a direct demonstration of storytelling in action. This craft intrigues me because people who make an impact are often storytellers. The way that an idea is represented, in careful curation makes the difference.

The threads of character, drama, action, emotion, values, beliefs all add to the overarching plot, discussion and conversation. This is also why I've recently picked up the line "I'm doing for the progression of the plot" whenever there is an action that requires justification.
(Don't worry, it's mostly only for fun and small things).

Stories are also the drive for civilization and success when considered from a certain light because at the end of the day, most people want to reach a certain level in order to appease people with a satisfying story that is etched upon history.

Anyways, this is a perspective that I'd love to yap about even more so in the following weeks. Hopefully with a better curation of  narrative (see what was done there hehehe).

I'd like to end with a question,

"What is the story that you are trying to tell with this lifetime of yours?"
