The Intrigue of Storytelling

(A recent piece that I drew, which made me wonder, what is she thinking about?) 

Hey everyone, it's been a while. But I had something on my mind that has been on my mind for years altogether. 

Storytelling as a timeless craft. 

When we explore storytelling as a narrative for children's entertainment or other niched aspects, we narrow down its true power in our lives and lose sight of the the fact that it actually drives us. 

Take your day to day routine. You're doing something, you're becoming someone, you're existing, you are telling a story. Whether we acknowledge it or not, we are all stories. Everything that we do, becomes a part of that story. 

That is exactly why it is timeless. Why it means something. Because it's intrinsic to human existence and ties relationship, civilization and lives together. 

PS: There is so much more to this topic that I would absolutely love to discuss but we'll meet next week, and really breakdown storytelling and how this singular ideal drives everything I draw and create.
