The Road Not Taken

(Drew this piece as an experiment back when I was trying out landscape dimensions for blogging. Never had the chance to post it anywhere since the lettering became too small when trying to fit in a blog of 150 words but I’m glad that I drew it anyways because it came in handy for a day like today. The reason I included this short explanation is to draw your attention to the fact that no effort is truly wasted. Anyways that’s a separate takeaway for another day, let’s get into into the blog)

The road not taken is fun until people think that you’re not going on a road at all. Such is choosing to embrace change and widen your perspective. While things don’t make sense in the short run, once you experience life at its truest, you’ll understand that this perspective is meant for the long run.

This is because it moves past the shaking circumstance and the unsteady future. It dives deeper into developing discipline and pursuing after permanent things. It inculcates joy and peace, patience and readiness to venture into the unknown.

And perhaps that is why it becomes a thing of beauty in itself, because it is a journey that only a few dare to take. And so, the question remains on whether we want to be part of that few and strike the hard change to walk in the road that is not commonly taken.

PS: This is something that still scares me to be honest since taking this road makes you question everything especially when you don’t see the fruit of your labour. But perhaps steadying ourselves even through uncertainty is the goal.
