Why love change?
(This piece is when I started using a different brush from what I had been familiar with and I wasn’t sure if I could “find” my art style with it. But overtime I learned to have fun with it and here we are)
The word change is interesting. It means different things to different people. To most, change is hard. Its dynamism takes a minute or two for one to actually understand it. And yet somehow, change is also good. Its shifting nature pulls us to get used to it and so we begin to adapt to it. But is adapting to change enough? For the longest point in my life, I did think so. Yet a while ago I had a paradigm shift. To see the bigger picture.
While getting past new changes seems satisfactory, thriving with new changes is what actually brings joy. That’s when it struck me. Life was never about getting by, in being monotonous, it was about living for real. And the only way one can truly do that is by enjoying the momentum of change.
PS: This blog is inspired by one of the earliest writings that I had written. While I do talk about change a lot on this page, this writing is slightly different because it’s almost like the origin point of why I started having this perspective on life itself. Is having this perception challenging at times? Yes, but it makes life worthwhile and fulfilling, so I wouldn’t have it any other way.
